An interdisciplinary conference on migration jointly organised by the NORFACE Research Programme on Migration and the Centre for Research and Analysis of Migration (CReAM) 6 - 9 April 2011 at University College London. Paper submission deadline: 15 December 2010
Invited and Keynote Speakers: So far, Richard Alba, Jagdish Bhagwati, Georges Borjas, David Card, Jack Citrin, Douglas Massey, David McKenzie, Alejandro Portes, Mark Rosenzweig, and Mary Waters have (tentatively) agreed to give inivited and keynote lectures.
Invitation to submit:
NORFACE Research Programme on Migration and Centre for Research and Analysis of Migration (CReAM) are jointly organising a large interdisciplinary conference on migration from 6th - 9th April 2011. This academic conference will be embedded in a week long event - "UCL Migration Week", organised by CReAM and UCL Grand Challenges Programme. This week will feature a series of events related to migration, such as Exhibitions, Lectures, Discussions and Film screenings. In addition there will be a Policy Podium, where high level practitioners, politicians and policy media representatives will discuss migration related issues.
We welcome scholars from economics, sociology, psychology, demography, anthropology, development studies, and other disciplines with an interest in the migration cycle, to submit innovative papers on any aspect related to migration and in particular on: forms of population movement and mobility, effects of migration on receiving and sending countries, migrants’ experience in host countries, and attitudes of residents of receiving countries to immigration. Papers and abstracts should be submitted electronically using the on-line submission instructions below.
Submission Guidelines: Submissions for presentation should include an abstract and a full paper.
Submission Deadline: Submissions of full papers (pdf files) for contributed sessions are expected by 15th December, 2010.

Acceptance decisions will be communicated to the submitters by 31st January 2011.
Travel and accommodation expenses should be covered by the participants themselves. However, there will be limited financial support for participants under exceptional circumstances.
